Your First Visit
First Visit Expectations
We believe in rigorous and ongoing self-care, so we strive to make your experience in our office one that you’ll be eager to repeat.
Although each doctor’s process will vary, generally you can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and new patient paperwork. Please download our new patient forms, print, and fill them out prior to coming into the office. This will save you a lot of time and make your first visit much more efficient.
You will then consult with the doctor. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to the matter. It is also for the chiropractor to express her role in your health care and discuss your health prognosis.
A physical exam will be performed. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis. X-rays can usually be done at the doctor’s office.
Dr. Wilkins will go over the results of the exam and x-rays with you. Then, depending on your situation, the doctor may give you an adjustment if needed. Depending on your condition, Dr. Wilkins may schedule a series of visits for care.
New Patient Paperwork
Please print this form, complete it to the best of your ability and bring it with you to your first appointment.
Laying the chiropractic foundation

Phase 2: Corrective/Restorative Care
During the corrective care phase, muscles and other tissues are allowed to heal more completely, thereby helping prevent injury. It is typical to estimate the amount of rehab that may be needed, it really depends on your overall health and the severity of your problem. Most corrective care is completed within a few months.
Phase 3: Wellness Care
Once your body has fully healed, many folks choose to come in for periodic adjustments to avoid problems in the future. Usually, this only requires a quick visit to the chiropractor 1 time per month or less, based on your lifestyle and goals. People choose to do this because they feel great and understand how chiropractic improves health and performance.
